Bell is an intaglio print that was made for the pure love for the line. The artist calls this drawing approach „Just looking“. In this case he just looked at a flower and didn’t control the way the line travelled over the copperplate. Thus a free set of lines was created by an uncensored view. The wash like colour-fields where made by drawing directly with the acid onto the copperplate that was covered with aquatint dust. Many technical steps are needed although it looks so free and easy.
