Bloody Willow inspired by a little willow branch, found on a morning stroll around the artists‘ studio. The wind probably had broken it off the night before. There it was, ready to be drawn with a sugar solution and a Japanese brush onto a degreased copperplate. Along etch would create fine lines that add to the mystery of the inside of a plant. Nobody really knows what makes a dandelion grow. The choice of colour could add to the idea of blood pumping through the veins of the tree, feeding the leaves with whatever it is they need.
