„Daniel“ is a drypoint etching made by scratching the drawing directly onto the copper. The harder the artist pushes the steel needle into the copper the deeper the grove gets and thus creates a lush and vibrant line. The drypoint etching is one of those artistic techniques where one can tell the temper of the artist even after hundreds of years. Just look at Rembrandt’s drypoints or Beckmans and you can get an idea what kind of men they were.
