This is the portrait of a cowslip, in German it is called Schlüsselblume and one mythology of this plant says that when you want to find the door to the fairyworld, pick a cowslip and stick it behind your ear. This indicates your readyness to be welcomed to the other side. Courage is sometimes needed to go on a journey inwardly, but mostly rewarde with insight and new life. Well, you can also just hang it on your livingroom wall and enjoy the dense and velvet black colorfield of this fine example of an aquating etching. This one also exists as large Pigmentprint in a size 87 x 107 cm and looks very elegant.
