Farewell Summer is a series of mixed media prints realized at the end of the beautiful summer of 2018. In this print, the artist processed the transition from summer to fall and the reluctance towards a cold winter. A thick rag paper was dampened, embossed and then painted. Then again organic shapes that had been cut out of linoleum flooring were inked up with oil-based ink and printed on top of the created colour-field. The final graphic gesture was the printing of a wilted tomato plant symbolizing the summer that has to seize. Each of these is a unique piece.
