Happy Recode is a large mixed media piece involving painting and several hand printmaking techniques. The red shape is cut out of a floor Linoleum and inked up with oil-based ink in two different reds. Also the tiny plants and the Gincko leafs that float around the red shape are painted in different shades of blue. It is printed in different layers to end up with a dense and pulsating color mix of strong and clear blue and red tones. The whole piece consists out of four pieces that overall end up in a format of about 120 x 120 cm. Overall having a strong, vital and happy atmosphere.
Technically this piece involves, as many of the latest works of Clemens Büntig, a list of different printmaking and painting techniques.
As the handprinted version is sold, I decided to offer a limited edition as fine art digital print.
